Hope through Hoops!
Wanted!
Portable basketball hoops that are not used. We will take them off your hands and give them a new home to children that can not afford one. It doesn't matter what shape they are in. We will RESURRECT any hoop and bring it back to life.
What we need to jump start the program:
- Hoop Junk(ie)Yard. We need a place to work on the hoops and have the hoops and parts stored. It can be any outside piece of land. If you have an extra plot of land for this cause, please step forward.
- Donations for renting U-hauls. Once every four months we will do a mass sweep to pick up all the hoops that people have donated to us. Also every four months, we will have a day to drop off the fixed hoops to all interested basketball enthusiasts that have signed up for one. A flat bed trailer would also work.
- Volunteers to drive the van and also for RESURRECTION DAY, the day we put all the hoops together.
- Looking into programs that could fund grant money. (ie. obesity prevention program)
